Sarah Buzzard attended the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) in Columbis, OH where she received her BFA in Illustration and a minor in Fine Arts with a focus on traditional painting.
Sarah finds inspiration from artists Audrey Kawasaki, loish (Lois van Baarle), Elena Sai, and Paul Apalkin. Her work is influenced by Japanese and American animation, pop culture and literature. Her paintings center on portraiture and the figure by developing unique facial expressions and body language. She incorporates her subject's likeness and enjoys playing with negative space and character design. She lets the execution and style of her art blur the line between illustration and fine art. Sarah currenty works as a freelance illustrator and continues to develop her portfolio.
